Prayer for those in need

Father there are so many people who are having to call on food banks for help for the first time. So many people who don’t know if they will be able to find a new job or keep up their rent or mortgage payments. So many people who have lost businesses that they have poured their all into.

Lord uphold them, strengthen them and give them hope for the future. Amen

Prayer for healing

Merciful God, we entrust to your tender care those who are ill or in pain, knowing that whenever danger threatens, your everlasting arms are there to hold them safe. Comfort and heal them, and restore them to health and strength; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Prayer for those who mourn

Lord comfort those who are grieving. Be with those who did not get a chance to say goodbye to their loved ones. Help them in the days and weeks ahead as the tears fall to remember the good times and the life and love that was shared. May they feel your arms around them surrounding them with your love. May they feel your arms around them surrounding them with your love. For nothing, not even death can separate us from the love of God. Amen

Prayer for those in pain

Lord who has felt and understands pain, comfort and hold gently in your arms those who are suffering and need of your tender care. Lift them out of darkness and guide them towards the light of a new and brighter tomorrow. Give them the hope and courage they need and calm their fears, surrounding them with Your love and  peace. Amen
